Peng is currently a PhD student in department of Earth and Environmental Science. His research areas include 1) copper diffusion and its application in copper ore formation processes, 2) iron oxidation state change in the magma, which greatly affects our understanding of mineral precipitation and atmosphere evolution, and 3) estimating water content on the Moon and tackling the formation of Moon.
Besides research, Peng was the chair of PKU alumni association from 2013 to 2015, and is currently a member of Michigan Graduate Consulting Club. He has an interest in consulting and is currently developing skills toward it.
