There are 24.4M PTSD patients in the U.S, with an average cost of $7000 per year per person for treatment & management. Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) patients and veterans are the two groups with high risks of developing PTSD symptoms.
VHabilitate is the software suite designed for PTSD therapy. It is using the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) to reduce stress of traumatic events through eye movements. As a mobile solution, it allows physician to deliver EMDR therapy remotely and track therapy activities and patient feedback in realtime fashion. By reducing hospital visits and increase physician efficiency in patient handling, VHabitate has the potential to introduce great cost saving for PTSD patient treatment. Also it can increase quality of life with better accessibility to therapy for patients.
