The SearchLite is continuing to uncover exciting insights about the precision agriculture industry. After recently completing an investigation into the technology adoption dynamics of precision planting (where we studied the current state of the art relative to farmer adoption of technologies such as variable-rate control systems, big data, GPS, drones, and precision equipment), we now turn our attention to precision spraying.
The agriculture industry is undergoing substantial change and innovation in equipment used for spraying. We are currently conducting original research on the current state of the industry in terms of the various types of mechanical, electro-mechanical, and fluidic engineering systems used for spraying equipment. Some areas of primary concern are compressors, Central Tire Inflation Systems (CTIS), fluidic controls and boom stability systems.
