The SearchLite is conducting a Market Discovery Challenge to understand the future of Crash Energy Management.
The SearchLite is conducting a Market Discovery Challenge for Fulcrum Engineering, a spin-off from Oakland University, to understand the field of Crash Energy Management for Occupant Safety.
Current technologies like airbag systems, passenger restraints and crumple zones designed for occupant safety work well at the fender-bender levels (minor collisions). In the case of high speed, catastrophic collisions, these technologies do not prove to be very effective, leaving the occupant susceptible to fatal injuries.
Our client has developed a novel system that deploys rapidly in the event of a catastrophic collision by altering the vehicle structure to ensure passenger safety. The SearchLite is helping Fulcrum Engineering understand the market landscape by identifying the unmet needs, incumbent technologies and potential partners for development & commercialization of the technology.
