As all of you know, the Learning Management System is a crucial part of the IIR experience and we strongly encourage our innovators to participate. It is an easy and fast way to become aware of what exactly The SearchLite does and what terminology we are using and why. Several IIRS have shown outstanding performance and have completed all of the courses to date on our new Learning Management System. We applaud you for your achievements!
Innovator-in-Residence Alumni Spotlight:
IIR Alumni… where are they now?
In the Fall of 2014 TSL launched the IIR Program and Wendy Tay became our first IIR in the history of our IIRs. She was actively engaged and a crucial team member during her stay as an innovator and to this day is involved in our projects, as she recently advised The SearchLite on Trends in Life Sciences.
Tay is a member of the technology associates program at Thomson Reuters where she is able to do three 9-month rotations in a variety of business units giving her the opportunity to gain technology and business insight into several aspects of the company from an enterprise level. She spent her first rotation in Eagan, MN, where she worked on big, linked data in the pharmaceutical intellectual property space. She demonstrated the use of interconnected ontologies and graph technology as a way to enhance content value.
Currently, she is in her second rotation in New York City for Thomson Reuters’ financial & risk business. She is the technical product manager of a new, innovative app. She is leading the strategy and implementation for taking the app from an idea to an official, revenue-generating product, using both technology and business knowledge.
Thank you Wendy for all of your contributions to TSL! We look forward to continue working with you in the future and wish you the best of luck with your bright, inspirational career path!
